Both Botox and Xeomin are neuromodulators made up of a similar active ingredient called botulinumtoxin A that when injected into or around the muscles of the face will ultimately relax the muscles of that area. The final result is a reduction of wrinkles and a smoother more refreshed look. Typically, results can be seen in about 7 days and last up to 3 to 4 months. Repeated sessions can reduce the number of injections and timing between sessions. The quick procedure which typically takes about 10-15 minutes is very safe and well-tolerated.
